shiva nataraja.

This cosmic dance of Shiva is called 'Anandatandava,' meaning the Dance of Bliss, and symbolizes the cosmic cycles of creation and destruction, as well as the daily rhythm of birth and death. The dance is a pictorial allegory of the five principle manifestations of eternal energy — creation, destruction, preservation, salvation, and illusion.

...it is a continual dance of creation and destruction involving the whole cosmos; the basis of all existence and of all natural phenomena.

the dance of life.

"The dance of life is a constant process, one of taking that lead us toward our dreams- and taking steps back...consciously creating, at times, what we can have, and accepting, at other times, that we cannot have what we most fervently want...letting go...and ultimately moving forward, once again, with an expanded awareness, a deepened sense of who we are and where we are going..."

for me... and you.

for my friend.

keep on keeping on.

Whenever something doesn't work out the way you thought it would, Alexa, instead of thinking that something went wrong, see it as something that went unexpectedly well, but for reasons that are not yet apparent.

Everything plays to your favor.

And then keep on keeping on, Alexa.

hide and seek.

where are we?
what the hell is going on?
the dust has only just begun to form
crop circles in the carpet
sinking feeling

spin me round again
and rub my eyes,
this can't be happening
when busy streets a mess with people
would stop to hold their heads heavy

hide and seek
trains and sewing machines
all those years
they were here first

oily marks appear on walls
where pleasure moments hung before the takeover,
the sweeping insensitivity of this still life

hide and seek
trains and sewing machines (oh, you won't catch me around here)
blood and tears (hearts)
they were here first

Mmmm whatcha say,
Mmm that you only meant well?
well of course you did
Mmmm whatcha say,
Mmmm that it's all for the best?
of course it is
Mmmm whatcha say?
Mmmm that it's just what we need
you decided this
whatcha say?
Mmmm what did she say?

ransom notes keep falling out your mouth
mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut outs
speak no feeling no I don't believe you
you don't care a bit,
you don't care a bit

who you once were.

“The journey between what you once were and who you are now becoming is where the dance of life really takes place.”
— Barbara De Angelis
